The BSc+ Program places special emphasis on development of analytical skills, communication skills, entrepreneurship. The use of ICT tools is unique to the program. Choice-based electives from different Programs of the University offer opportunity to explore diverse interests in an interdisciplinary manner and enlarge the educational space. Social connect and know-your-community is achieved through a hands-on project KHOJ,wherein students from many majors across the university work collaboratively and apply disciplinary education in an inter-disciplinary manner to solve complex social problems and bring about social innovation. A capstone project grounded in science and its application offers opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in the sciences.

The students in the Interdisciplinary BSc+ Program can choose to pursue
any one of the following:

  • Three Year BSc with certificate in Business Management / IT / Education
  • Three Year BSc followed by 1 year PG Diploma in Business Management /
    IT /Education
  • Four Year Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Science with certificate in
Business Management / IT / Education
  • Prepares student simultaneously for employment and graduate education in science
  • Time Saving – students are eligible for Ph.D. through CSIR – NET after four-year BS Degree.
  • Industry Linkage – Strong links with Business and Industry to ensure practical education and respond to emerging industry requirements.
  • Inter-disciplinary choice of courses.
  • Experiential Learning- A winning balance of theory and practical experiences
    for better understanding and application.
  • One complete year dedicated to research project for students pursuing BS degree
  • Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India along with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, celebrated its Diamond Jubilee by organizing a Seminar and Exhibition on Nuclear Technology at B.Sc.+ Program.
  • National Science Day was celebrated at B.Sc.+ Program by organizing Science Week which included Lectures by eminent speakers from different fields of Science and Exhibition of working models prepared by students.
  • Our B.Sc. students were selected for NIUS Chemistry XI.1 (National Initiative on Undergraduate Sciences, Chemistry Program) at BARC, Mumbai organized by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBSCE), Tata Institute for Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai.
  • Science Clubs (Science@NUV, Science lt) were especially initiated to inspire the students to reach their full potential in science by providing them with access to exciting hands-on-laboratory activities, erudite science mentors, and a supportive academic environment that encourages their intellectual development.

Eligible candidates are required to appear for an interaction with experts of the school of Science and Engineering.
