Education
Sunita did her Masters Program in Urban Design from CEPT University, Ahmedabad in 2008.
Thesis title: Resource Region Urbanism : Casestudy -  Sawantwadi Town, Sindhudurg Distric,Maharashtra
She did her Bachelors in Architecture from Academy of Architecture, Mumbai [1996]

Background
She joined Navrachana University in November 2013 as an Assistant Professor.

Scholarship and Accomplishments
Sunita Dalvi is actively receptive to the surrounding urban environment and its changing urban conditions and believes in recording through various creative mediums to build meaningful research base for the necessary action plans to take its course in the future.Travelled &  lived through various cities, she has worked with eminent architects  and institutions such as UNESCO and MMR Heritage society- Mumbai, HUDCO for settlement documentation, drafting heritage guidelines, action plan and policies  for precincts in MMR region and DPRs of BSUP-JNNURM in noted cities.

Over the decade she has specialized her interest in the study of urban settlements with diverse Approach of regionalism as well as landscape urbanism and has taught in various architecture schools in Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore and Baroda , conducted several Urban Studios and guided undergraduate design thesis  for urban projects located in metro cities.

At present she teaches in SEDA, Navrachana University in the course work of Research Thesis,Urban Studio, Urban History and Theory. An approach of research methods and basic design tools remain fundamental In her teaching methods. The tools of recording adopted by her in Banaras Urban Studio facilitating a design query to the recent conditions of city was widely debated among the professionals and peer groups. She has conducted several academic field trips to different cities to document the old architecture buildings, precincts and streets.

Her personal interest in sketching in pen & ink has given her couple of publications as well as exhibitions in the noted cities. Her  series of work has been displayed in the several Museums of Goa as part of permanent exhibitions and personal collection to several institutions, industrialists, artists,diplomats, etc.
