Ms. Tanvi Trivedi Mehta did her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. She later did her Masters in Social Work from College of Social Work Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai. She has also done the Advanced Course on Global Campus Program-Peace and Conflict Studies. She cleared NET in April 2016.
Before joining Navrachana University, Ms. Mehta was the Project Manager at a Mumbai based NGO that worked for promoting youth participation in governance issues. She spearheaded various projects and campaigns for promoting Right to Information, Right to Services and The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act. She has worked with agencies like Eklavya (Shahpur, Bhopal) and Save the Children International (Mumbai). She has also taught Psychology in higher secondary classes at schools.
Dissertation: Personality Profiles and Professional Suitability of Social Work Students (Mumbai). She was also a part of the team that presented a Seminar on Mental Health Intervention in Disaster Response at the College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan.
Ms. Mehta is currently an Lecturer at the Department of Social Work, School of Liberal Studies and Education, Navrachana University, Baroda. She is the Field Work Co-ordinator for the MSW program. Her teaching assignments include: Personal and Professional Development for Social Work Professionals, Project Proposal Presentation and Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation.
Her interest areas include Therapeutic Intervention, Mental Health, Gender Studies, Aided Education, NGO management, Case work and working for/with vulnerable children.
