He Joined Navrachana University in July 2018 as an Assistant Professor. Prior to that, he worked as a postdoctoral student at College of Optical Science and Engineering department of Zhejiang University, China. During his Postdoctoral study,he carried research work on Micro/Nano optical fiber based sensors for applications mostly suited for structural health monitoring and physical process control.In 2015, He received PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India.During his Doctoral study,he worked on the design and development of optic fiber sensors which includes the development of smart sensors employing fiber gratings, submicron/nano-scaled fiber, localized surface-plasmon resonance spectroscopy to name a few, for applications predominantly suited for structural health monitoring. He also involved in guiding undergraduate and master’s students for laboratory courses.

His main research interest is on development of Optical fiber sensors, Nano-photonic sensors and Surface Plasmon resonance based sensors; and also study the light propagation in an optical fibers.He has authored about 7 publications and conference presentations.
