Masters in Management Studies (MMS)

Masters of Management Studies (MMS) is a specially designed program for the postgraduate students and experienced professionals who aspire to reach leadership positions in the highly rewarding and exciting field of HR, Marketing and Finance. Modern management professionals need to be well equipped with the knowledge and skills required to deal with the changing dynamics of the economy, business models and technology. The MMS program includes courses from the fields of behavioral sciences, Management, Technology, and Analytics, which are delivered through diverse pedagogy by highly qualified academicians and industry practitioners. Along with conceptual knowledge, students will also gain exposure to the corporate world through industry projects and internships. At the end of two years, students are groomed to begin their career as a competent, managerial level executive with a high emphasis on value creation and development of human capital.

Industry Connect

Students are exposed to industry and market through regular live projects, guest lectures, industrial visits and internships.

Internship

Each student has to undergo two- credit-based, on- the-job internships: one of four weeks at the end of 1st semester and another of eight weeks at the end of 2nd semester. Internships provide an opportunity to the students to build a healthy and positive relationship with the corporate world and specifically with a prospective employer to pave the way for future placement.

Eligibility and Selection Process:

  • Any graduate or equivalent in any stream with minimum 50% can apply.
  • Candidates awaiting the final result to be given provisional admission subject to their clearing the qualifying exam and meeting NUV admission criteria.
  • Conduct Certificate and School Leaving Certificate are mandatory.
  • Selection of the candidate for admission to the Program is through a Written Aptitude Test and Personal Interview.
  • The final merit list will be prepared based on the scores of test and interview.

Through mentoring students for subject study will help them to improve engagement with the subject, enriched learning and application in the area that subsequently will boost the confidence of students.

Since MMS-HR requires practical exposure from the industry leaders to help them understand the subject more efficiently and easily and visiting an organization and been part with them for a day will enhance the knowledge. It was two day study tour to Blue Star- Silvassa and Daman.

Outbound Training

The training program was organized with a broad objective of developing interpersonal skills and team spirit among students. The program was comprised of combination of methods including lectures, audio-visual presentations, ice breaking sessions, group discussions, indoor and outdoor games and so on.

HR Conclave

The 2019 Employee Development and Organization Sustainability Conclave brought the leading practitioners in employee development and employee engagement to discuss their organization practices. The conclave left a mark by generating awareness regarding the practices organization does through case studies. This conclave helped students to know the strategic and tactical ideas that help in developing employees for better tomorrow.
