Program Details

The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at Navrachana University provides students with a comprehensive education in the field of electrical and electronics engineering. 

 

The EEE specialization within the B.Tech program covers advanced topics such as electrical systems, Internet of Things (IoT), electronic systems, communication technologies, and signal processing. Students engage with subjects including renewable energy sources, Electrical Machines, Digital Signal Processing, Digital Communication, Microcontroller applications, and electromagnetic fields. 

 

Through hands-on experience and practical applications, students gain a thorough understanding of electronic systems and their real-world applications. Graduates of the EEE program are well-prepared for careers in areas such as IoT, renewable energy, telecommunications, embedded systems, and other rapidly evolving fields within engineering.

Choice-based Curriculum

Navrachana University, a premier university in Vadodara, known for its innovative and forward-looking approaches to education has now implemented a choice-based curriculum for its students. It is aimed at transforming the student learning experience, empowering them to “tailor-make” their own degree.

The need of the hour today is to create highly skilled professionals who possess a broad-based outlook enabling them to collaborate, understand and empathize with larger sociocultural realities.

  • Choice-based curriculum empowers students to choose 10% of course credits of their choice from other domains.
  • The mandatory courses of one domain will become the elective courses in other domains.
  • For instance, a student of Engineering can study Architecture and Design courses and vice versa.

Minor discipline courses

Navrachana University offers its students’ the opportunity to pursue a Minor discipline along with their major degree program, following one’s interest, which facilitates the growth of additional skills. Minors are a means of diversifying the understanding of a topic and a reflection of who one is as an individual. For example, a student of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) can choose a minor in ‘Interior Design’.

To attain a Minor, the students will need to do 18 credit worth of courses designated to diversify interests and gain a professional edge!

KHOJ winter school program

The Khoj program has been one of the defining social immersion activities at Navrachana University. Conceived right during the inception of the University, the Khoj program was envisaged to be a vehicle to inculcate social awareness, empathy, and interdisciplinary skills among our students, with a larger aim of proposing solutions to societal problems through innovation, it is through intense, rigorous, and field-based activities that students come up with an increased sense of empathy and awareness towards their surroundings. This program was further strengthened by engaging on topics that are relevant and can be made visible to society at large, the program is conceived as a larger and more ambitious activity that is undertaken by students and faculty members during the semester break under the umbrella of KHOJ WINTER SCHOOL.

Public Health & Hygiene | Mental Health | Environment & Sustainability | Waste Management | Urban Development | Economics & Social Issues.

Each student undergoes an industrial internship during their 8th semester. This internship offers students a valuable opportunity to establish constructive relationships within the corporate sector, laying the groundwork for future placement opportunities. 

Admission Process

Candidates should have passed 12th Standard (HSC) examination in Science Stream or equivalent examination from any school in India and should have secured a minimum aggregate score of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/SEBC) in theory only, or in theory and practical with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Technical vocational subjects. The candidate should have appeared for qualifying examinations like JEE (Main) and/or GUJCET, etc. 

Admission to 50% of the Program will be through ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses), Government of Gujarat, on the basis of the merit list prepared by the ACPC. The remaining 50% of seats will be filled by NUV based on percentile score in JEE (Main) or GUJCET examination.

Limited number of Merit Scholarships are available to meritorious students with a score of over 70% marks in Scholarship exam. These scholarships are offered to students whose parent’s combined income does not exceed Rs 8 lakh per year. Interested candidates must meet Admin Department after seeking admission.

Pre- Teaching Sessions at the beginning of every semester.  

Pre-teaching sessions, conducted at the beginning of every semester, serve as vital preparatory sessions aimed at providing students with foundational knowledge and essential skills necessary for success in their upcoming courses. These sessions typically encompass a variety of activities and discussions designed to orient students, set academic expectations, and foster a conducive learning environment.

2. Course Audit every month 

A monthly course audit is a systematic review process conducted to assess the progress and effectiveness of ongoing courses.

Academic Advisory Board consists of Program matter experts who provide guidance, expertise, and innovative pedagogy and continuous improvement within the academic.

  1. Expert talk under MOU signed with SIROTEC, SIEMENS on “Rotary machines in electrical domain & energy interface

An expert talk on “Rotary machines in electrical domain & energy interface” has been organized by EEE department under the MOU signed with SIROTEC, SIEMENS Ltd. The expert has discussed about different rotary machines & their basic working in industry. He has also delivered an insightful talk on these rotary machines application to the different industry and discussed with students about role of B. Tech-EEE & B. Tech-mechanical students in the steam turbine manufacturing industries. Mr. Bhavesh Desai has discussed a current energy scenario in world. The energy interface between different machines and how they all are linked in terms of energy transition & transformation. 

  1. Expert talk under MOU signed with SIROTEC, SIEMENS on “Campus to corporate”

On 26th March, 2022 an expert talk on “Campus to Corporate” has been organized by EEE department under the MOU signed with SIROTEC, SIEMENS Ltd. The expert talk was delivered by Mr. Purav Bhatt who is lead of digitalization at ASIA level in SIEMENS Ltd. Mr. Purav Bhatt has shared the insightful experiences and views in simple stories or live examples will help the students to enrich their thinking capability towards corporate culture and their own mental happiness. He has shown all of us a small window what actually corporate culture is and how to behave in that environment. His views on connecting with different social platform, how to get benefit from all social media platform. Also he has shared with us the importance of cultivating the reading habit. His own journey of writing your book. How to manage and invest our 24 hours in best possible manner. The  talk was really excellent and enriching for all of us.  

  1. Alumni expert talk of Vaishanvi Vaidya

Ms. Vaishanvi Vaidya our esteem alumni has delivered a expert talk on “Wind of change : and insight into the wind power industry”. The talk was arranged under Alumni connect activity. The talk has given us brief about  how an  on-shore and off-shore wind power industry  works and what is the future growth in the renewable energy market for the electrical engineers. The insightful knowledge and experience of working in wind power industry has been shared by Ms. Vaishanvi was really a remarkable.

Mr. Nishil Pandey our esteem alumni has delivered an expert talk on “Career abroad opportunities”. The talk was arranged under Alumni connect activity. The talk has given us brief about ETS working strategies and how the such educational testing institute help the students to guide for various competitive exams like TOFEL/GRE/IELTES/GMAT/CAT  to make their carrier in abroad or for higher education study. It was really remarkable and helpful to our students who wants to pursue their career in abroad.
