The School of Environmental Design and Architecture (SEDA) is at the forefront of cutting-edge innovative design education. Creativity and critical thinking are the bedrock around which teaching is organized. The unique features of SEDA are the intensive use of workshop for Studio, Construction and its History based courses.

Our students learn to respond to our natural environment and cater to spatial needs and aspirations of individuals and the society. SEDA has some of the most talented and passionate, internationally acclaimed faculty members, who not only teach but also practice architecture. Mainly, admission to architecture colleges in Gujarat typically requires candidates to qualify for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) or equivalent entrance exams and meet specific eligibility criteria.

The School has been established to offer broad-based education in Architecture and Design keeping the future needs of the industry and the concerns of the society in mind.

The following degree programs are offered by SEDA - Bachelor in Architecture (BArch) and Bachelor in Design (BDesign-Interior/Landscape).

In our Bachelor of Architecture program, we believe in learning by doing, and a major portion of the curriculum focuses on hands on learning. By following the Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach, we ensure emphasis is given to the thought process, rather than final output. Through the program, students will enjoy the benefits of working at our state-of-the-art facilities, like the SEDA Material Lab, wood workshop, pottery and photography labs.

Our Architecture program goes beyond just training students to fit into the professional field. B. Arch introduces and develops the skills and knowledge necessary for contemporary architectural practice.

 

The B. Arch registration program is designed with the objective of widening students’ knowledge and helping cultivate the right kind of values, ethics, and attitudes required for being a socially responsive citizen. This includes in-depth studies about societies and their historical context in different regions of India and beyond, international influences and the evolving value of our society, Art and crafts of different regions, the changing economy, and increasing awareness about the environment. Eligibility:

  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies with at least 45% marks in aggregate or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 45% marks in aggregate
  • The candidate must have qualifying score in “NATA” 2023, conducted by the Council of Architecture
  • NATA score is mandatory for admission in BArch. at Navrachana University. JEE score is not applicable.

 

  • Merit List
  • The merit list would be created with 50% weightage of NATA percentage and 50% weightage of 12th/diploma percentage. Please visit ACPC website for details.

  • There are 2 broad categories of seats in B.Arch., All India Seats and ACPC Seats.

 

  • ACPC Seats – 25 Seats
  • Application process: As per ACPC schedule.
  • Admission criteria: Seats will be allotted by ACPC as per the merit list prepared by them.
  • Seat matrix: Reservations in these seats would apply as per the rules of Government of Gujarat.
  • Fee: Semester fee for ACPC seats is Rs.55,500.

  • All India Seats/ MQ Seats/ NRI-NRI Sponsored Seats – 20 Seats
  • Application process: For admission under this category, applicants are required to apply directly to Navrachana University.
  • The forms for these seats are available on https://nuv.ac.in/  The last date for submitting completed application form under this category is 25 July 2023. Please note that it is mandatory for the candidates to remain present at Navrachana University on the day of counselling to secure admission.
  • Admission criteria: Seats will be allotted as per the inter-se merit list prepared by Navrachana University
  • Seat matrix: There are no reservations in this category. All seats are open.
  • Fee: Semester fee for All India seats/MQ seats is Rs.55,500.
