Profile

Ms. Priya has over 6 years of experience in teaching and academic coordination. She worked with several organizations as Academic Associate, Research Assistant, Academic Coordinator, Tutor prior to joining Navrachana University. Currently re-joined Navrachana University in May 2023 as Teaching Assistant.

She is majorly involved in the activities carried by the UG-PG office at the university.

Assisting in smooth functioning of University level Khoj Winter School Program

Also involved in designing and curation of Course Catalogue Book.

She is currently involved in conducting practical/theory classes of graduate and postgraduate Biomedical and Life sciences courses.

Research:

Biomarker identification for early detection of leprosy under the guidance of Dr. Pushpendra Singh, MSU Baroda, India.

Her dissertation thesis submitted in May’17 is titled as “Culturable microbial diversity of subsurface sediment core from Rampura industrial estate of Mahi River basin, Western India” (Under the guidance of Prof. G. Archana, Head of The Department of Microbiology, MSU Baroda)

 

Accomplishment:

(1) Awarded with UGC (New Delhi) Post Graduate Merit Scholarship for University Rank Holder (2015- 2017)

(2) Industry Certification in Pharmacovigilance – Institute of Good Manufacturing Practices India (IGMPI New Delhi), 2022

(3) Winner of GYAN scholarship in NextGen Genomics, Biology, Bioinformatics and Technologies (NGBT) conference held at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India in October, 2018.

(4) Cleared GATE 2019

(5) Secured 1st position in the poster competition, Comparative transcriptome analysis revealing candidate biomarkers and pathways affected during leprosy progression at Science excellence 2018 organized by Botany Department, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India on September 20, 2018.

(6) Minaxi-lalit award 2015, given by Gujarat Science Academy (Government of Gujarat).
