Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar comprises a team who provides end-to-end support to the Registrar in implementing the policies of the University and upholding its integrity among internal and external stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • To act as the administrative head of the University
  • To act as a member secretary to the Board of Governance, Board of Management and Academic Council
  • To act as custodian and authorized signatory of the University records
  • To issue degree certificates, transcripts, bonafide certificates, migration certificates, and other documents
  • To draft University policies and to implement them to ensure smooth functioning of the University
  • Ensure the policies are compliant with the UGC, Higher Education Department, Govt. of Gujarat, and other statutory bodies and their guidelines
  • To direct preparation of information from the University database and collaterals on activities that need to be communicated to the internal and external stakeholders

Policies and Guidelines

The department resolves examination-related queries such as eligibility criteria, defining who can appear for examinations/juries. Additionally, the department supports students with information about upcoming examinations, evaluation mechanism and components, assessment process, grading criteria, computation of SGPA and CGPA, attendance records, and other processes. The following are some of the functions of the department:
  • Shares details of the evaluation processes adopted by each Programme Head at the University, including the approved programme structure, course outline, course-wise evaluation scheme as announced by the course faculty whenever the course is offered
  • Shares details of the courses offered by the respective programmes in each semester and the students who have opted for these courses
  • Maintains all records of students’ performance in each component of evaluation
  • Maintains reports of the examination audit carried out by the respective programme offices/University

The Navrachana University Information Technology (IT) Policy sets forth the central policies that govern the responsible usage of all users of the University’s information technology resources. This comprises the IT facilities allocated centrally or by individual departments. Every member of the University is expected to be familiar with and adhere to this policy. Users of the campus network and computer resources (“users”) are responsible to properly use and protect information resources and to respect the rights of others. NUV endeavours to provide all faculty, students and staff with a modern, fully networked computing and IT environment for academic use.

For withdrawal of admission and seeking refund of fees, the candidate is required to submit the original fee receipt and fill the admission cancellation form duly signed by the student.
The admission cancellation form is available at the Administrative Office Room No. 119, Navrachana University and can be filled and submitted at the time of seeking withdrawal along with required documents.

In case of loss or destruction of Grade report a candidate may obtain a duplicate Grade Report on submitting an application to the Assistant Registrar examinations, Navrachana University, with receipt of the prescribed fee. In case of loss or destruction of Degree certificate a candidate may obtain a duplicate Degree certificate on submitting an application with Copy of FIR from Nearest Police Station to the Assistant Registrar examinations, Navrachana University, with receipt of the prescribed fee.

A student who has been admitted and has registered for courses at Navrachana University (NUV) will have to make the following payments as per the timelines defined by the University:
  • Tuition fees
  • Hostel fees (if staying at the University hostel)
  • Transportation fees (if using the transportation facility)
  • Study tour and other related charges as decided by the University (wherever applicable)
  • Caution / Library deposit (One-time refundable)
