Program Details

The 5-Year Integrated BTech-MBA Program is a future-ready academic program designed to nurture technically proficient professionals with strong managerial and leadership capabilities. In today’s rapidly evolving, technology-driven economy, organizations seek individuals who can seamlessly integrate engineering expertise with strategic thinking, business acumen, and innovative leadership. This integrated program addresses this need by combining rigorous engineering education across disciplines such as Computer Science Engineering with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CSE-AI/ML), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), and Civil Engineering (CE) with comprehensive management training in a single, unified curriculum.

Through a blend of classroom learning, industry-oriented projects, internships, case studies, and experiential learning, the program prepares graduates to take on diverse roles across technology, management, consulting, and entrepreneurial ventures. The integration of engineering specializations with management education enables students to develop a holistic perspective, equipping them to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and drive innovation in global and competitive business environments.

Graduates of the 5-Year Integrated BTech-MBA Program emerge as versatile professional engineers who understand business and managers who appreciate technology, ready to contribute meaningfully to industries such as IT and digital services, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, consulting, and emerging technology startups.

The program offers students the unique advantage of earning both a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in five years, reducing the overall duration of study while ensuring depth, continuity, and interdisciplinary learning. The initial years focus on building a strong foundation in core engineering domains ranging from programming, data analytics, artificial intelligence & machine learning in CSE to design, manufacturing, and robotics in ME; power systems and electronics in EEE, and infrastructure engineering design, sustainable construction, infrastructure project management, cost optimization, and infrastructure finance principles in CE, along with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Along with introducing them to the fundamentals of business management in the fields of finance, marketing, human resources, and analytics. The later stages emphasize business strategy, entrepreneurship, operations, and leadership, along with advanced-level courses in Computer Science Engineering (CSE-AI/ML), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), and Civil Engineering (CE)

The 5-Year Integrated B.Tech – MBA Program adopts a dynamic, learner-centric pedagogy that blends technical rigor with managerial application. The teaching–learning approach is designed to foster critical thinking, innovation, problem-solving, and leadership through a combination of experiential, digital, and interdisciplinary methods.

    1. Experiential Learning with Studio & Project-Based Approach
Students engage in hands-on learning through live projects, lab work, simulations, and industry-driven assignments. Engineering students work on real-world technical problems, while management modules incorporate business challenges, ensuring practical application of concepts.
    2. Interdisciplinary Learning Modules
Courses are designed to integrate engineering specializations (CSE (AI/ML), ME, EEE, CE) with management domains. For example, data analytics with business strategy, smart manufacturing with operations management, and infrastructure planning with project finance.
    3. Case-Based Learning:
Business cases from diverse industries are used extensively to help students understand data-backed managerial solutions.
    4. Technology-Enabled Learning
The program leverages digital platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual labs, AI-based learning tools, and MOOCs (such as SWAYAM, Coursera, edX, AWS) to promote self-paced and blended learning. Practical sessions on Excel, SQL, Python/R, business intelligence tools, and analytics platforms enable students to learn by doing and build technical confidence.
    5. Industry Interface and Internships
Regular guest lectures, workshops, industrial visits, internships, and mentoring by industry professionals bridge the gap between academia and practice. Students gain exposure to current trends in technology and business by interning in each summer break.
    6. Research-Oriented and Inquiry-Based Learning
Students are encouraged to undertake research projects, publish papers, and participate in conferences. Inquiry-based learning fosters curiosity, analytical rigor, and problem identification skills.

10 Semesters | Full-time | Five-years | Integrated Degree Program

Fee Structure: Rs.

For Detailed Curriculum:

  • Dual Degree Advantage in 5 Years
  • Multiple Engineering Specialization Pathways (CSE (AI/ML), ME, EEE, CE)
  • Early Exposure to Management Education
  • Industry-Aligned Curriculum
  • Embedded Skill Development Framework
  • Creating an X-shaped personality of an adaptable leader who combines deep technological knowledge with broad collaborative skills to drive innovation across diverse teams.

Students undertake four internships, scheduled during the summer break at the end of each academic year, enabling a gradual transition from technical proficiency to managerial competence:

  • Internship I (End of Year 1):
Introductory exposure to the engineering environment, focusing on basic technical understanding, shop-floor practices, and organizational functioning.
  • Internship II (End of Year 2):
Domain-specific training aligned with the chosen engineering specialization (CSE(AI/ML), ME, EEE, or CE), allowing students to apply classroom concepts to practical industry problems.
  • Internship III (End of Year 3):
Advanced technical internship involving deeper engagement in projects, problem-solving, design, analysis, or development activities within the engineering domain.
  • Internship IV (End of Year 4):
Management-focused internship in corporate settings, where students work on areas such as operations, marketing, finance, HR, analytics, or strategy, bridging the gap between technology and business functions.

This progressive internship structure ensures that students first build a strong technical foundation and subsequently develop managerial perspectives, making them industry-ready professionals.

In the final year, students are required to undertake a comprehensive capstone project that integrates engineering expertise with management application. This project is designed to address real-world challenges by combining technical solutions with business strategy, financial feasibility, operational planning, and market considerations.

Students work either individually or in teams, often in collaboration with industry partners, and are guided by faculty mentors from both engineering and management disciplines. The project culminates in a detailed report and presentation, demonstrating the student’s ability to apply interdisciplinary knowledge, innovate, and deliver implementable solutions.
