Arundhati Saikia is a practicing artist and an academic with over three years of full-time teaching experience and twelve years of overall work experience. She completed her Bachelor of Visual Arts in Painting, in 2010 and Master of Visual Arts in Painting, in 2012 from Faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University of Baroda in Gujarat. She again joined M.V.A. in Art History and Aesthetics, Faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University from 2012 to 2014. She has worked as a visiting faculty for ‘Visualization and Representation’, ‘Basic Design’ and different ‘Elective subjects of Visual Arts’ (Drawing and Representation, Drawing and Painting, Paper Mache, Wood-Cut Print-making, Etching Print-making, Clay and Ceramic, History of Art and Aesthetics, Humanity and Art Appreciation etc.) in School of Architecture CEPT University, Ahmedabad, Department of Architecture M.S.U. Baroda, D.C. Patel School of Architecture APIED Vallabh Vidyanagar, Institute of Architecture, NIRMA University Ahmedabad and College of Architecture SVIT Vasad in Gujarat. Apart from teaching she has worked as an Illustrator for Interactive Panel for the Tribes of Orissa and Tribal Museum of Tripura at ‘MYTH INTERACTIVES’ Baroda and beautification of Pramukh Swami Fatehgunj Flyover Bridge with Vadodara Municipal Corporation under ‘Azadi nu Amrit Mahotsav’ and Smart City Mission (‘RIKT’ DESIGN STUDIO).As a practicing artist she has participated many workshops of art, public lectures on miniature art and her own practice, art residency program and art exhibitions of Paintings and Graphics in India. She has qualified UGC NET in 2019.
