Dr. Sneha Joseph comes with experience of three years in Navrachana University and few months of industrial experience prior to joining Navrachana University.
She has passion for teaching with research experience in the area of DNA Barcoding and molecular phylogeny of marine intertidal macrofaunal groups. She obtained her Ph.D. in Bioscience from Saurashtra University and is a recipient of the Maulana Azad National Fellowship. Her academic credentials include M.Sc. Biotechnology from St. Thomas College, Bhilai which is affiliated to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur and B.Sc Biotechnology from N.V. Patel College, Sardar Patel University, Vidyanagar.
She is currently working on the project, “Probing the phylogenetic realationship of the marine microbial communities to understand their genetic variations and relationship with the marine macrofaunal group along Koliyak Coast (Gujarat),” as a part of SEED Grant awarded by Navrachana University. She has guided four dissertation students under the topics, ‘Understanding the impact of anthropogenic pressure on the diversity of marine microbes in Koliyak coast, Gujarat; Augmentation of BPA consumed through various inanimate and food sources with special emphasis on Labeo rohita; Burrow Selection by Mugger Crocodile in Agricultural Landscape of Charotar region, Central Gujarat, India; Understanding the Microbial diversity of few wetlands of Gujarat and exploring the potential of isolated phosphate solubilizing bacteria as bio-fertilizers.’

Teaching
Dr. Sneha teaches both undergraduates and masters students. She taught courses like Genetic Engineering, Medical Microbiology, Microbial Ecology and Diversity, Scientific Inquiry and Research Methodology, Parasitology and Histopathology, General Microbiology, Biotechnology, Microbial physiology and genetics, etc.
Her teaching philosophy is to help the students reach their full potential through projects that would help students master their research and questioning skills, through group activities including models and presentations that foster in them team spirit, leadership skills and co-ordination which are qualities that help students in the future endeavors.
