  • B.Sc. in Zoology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University Baroda (2020). 

Professional or Industrial Experience 

  • Teaching Assistant at Division of Biomedical and Life sciences, School of Science from July 2024 till present in Navrachana university   

 

Teaching:  

  • Mr Joy Panchal is part of university foundation program for environmental science and climate change. 
  • He also conducts laboratory sessions in both biomedical and life sciences related to cell and Biochemistry, histology, evolution, immunology, Ethology, Wildlife Biology, toxicology, etc. 

Area of Expertise and Research 

Primary Area: Ecotoxicological research using model organisms such as zebrafish to study environmental pollutants and their biological impacts.  

  • Joy’s master’s dissertation, “Assessment of Crustaceans as Bio indicators of Heavy Metals Pollution in Nahar Gulf of Khambhat,” reflects his expertise in environmental toxicology and marine ecosystem monitoring. The study evaluated the accumulation of heavy metals in crustacean species, highlighting their potential as effective bio indicators for assessing aquatic pollution. 
  • Heavy metal pollution assessment through bio indicator species, contributing to environmental monitoring and risk assessment. 
  • Endocrinology and reproductive biology, focusing on hormonal interactions and their effects on aquatic species. 
  • Sustainable aquaculture practices, including habitat conservation, disease management, and pollution prevention. 
  • Innovative pedagogy in biology education, translating complex scientific concepts into accessible formats for diverse learning groups. 
  • Wildlife conservation and field-based ecological studies, contributing to species monitoring and habitat protection.

  • International Research Presentation: Joy presented a paper titled “Student Teachers’ Perspective on Mother Tongue Usage in Classroom Teaching” at the 22nd International Students’ Research Conference at the University of Latvia (2023),  
  • Poster presentation in PUNCCRT- 2025 in Parul university topic “effects of heavy metal on crustacean species”
