Education beyond books, for the world beyond what it looks” This axiom, which also coincidentally, happens to be the motto of Navrachana University, is an epitome of what the university aspires to offer to its students, and also how the students, in turn, imbibe this axiom truly in their lives, when they go on to accomplish their desired goals, once they step over the precincts of the university.
Navrachana University, in its incessant range of efforts, to offer the best education and peripheral support to the learners, stops nothing short of offering solutions that are best-in-class, practical, and offer a win-win solution to its students. In a similar quest, Navrachana University has recently set up its Office of International Relations (OIR) under the august aegis of the university’s Career Development Cell (CDC). Just the way CDC has offered timeless assistance and guidance to students in terms of quality internships, placements and career counselling sessions, the Office of International Relations (OIR) intends to offer time-bound and transparent knowhow to the university students regarding promising academic opportunities abroad.
In addition to counselling the students about the conventional study options abroad, the OIR is also designed to assist them with exchange programs and research opportunities at leading universities abroad. Not only the students, but even faculty members of the university also get to benefit from this newly developed cell at the university. As India is projected to have 2 million of its students studying abroad by the end of 2026, of which, a whopping 220,000 students from India are projected to travel abroad for postgraduate studies. Given these huge numbers, it becomes all the more inevitable for the concerned members at the higher education institutions in India to offer factual direction to these students.
In essence, the Office of International Relations (OIR) at Navrachana University is entrusted with the following:
Why internationalization matters to us at Navrachana University
Internationalization is not an end in itself, but a driver for change and improvement across multiple levels of Higher Education – academic policies, curriculum design, pedagogy, student engagement, etc (OECD 2012). These engagements help the University to leverage Institutional strengths via collaborations, mobilize intellectual resources, network with Institutions of excellence and thereby gain international visibility.
In furtherance of the above, the International Cell assists in developing an extensive network with Universities and Institutions worldwide.
