Yes, the 5-year Architecture program has a semester (nearly 4 months) dedicated to Office Training where our students spend time and work in an Architect’s firm as interns.
SEDA is presently working very closely with North Dakota State University (NDSU), USA, to start student and faculty exchange programs, apart from joint degrees. There is a possibility that students, after finishing three years at SEDA move to NDSU to complete their bachelor’s degree.
NDSU graduates have excellent placements in major design firms across the globe. They have a very inter-disciplinary approach to teaching, and they have high-end workshop facilities. Their program is well recognised and accredited.

Yes, we have a hostel facility for both boys and girls 2 km away from the campus. But we do have a lot of newly built apartment buildings near the University, where most of our students prefer to rent on a sharing basis.
We have amongst the most advanced workshops in the country that include laser cutting, precision equipment etc., that are at the heart of design teaching. Students learn by working on state-of-the-art equipment.
Admission to Bachelor of Architecture is governed through the Gujarat Government Joint Admission Committee (ACPC). You have to first appear for NATA examination and then apply to ACPC with your NATA score plus your HSC results (50% weightage is given to both).
Admission to Bachelor of Design takes place through an in-house entrance test and interview. The test focusses on drawing skills, imagination and awareness of the candidate. This entrance test is conducted in the month of June.

The Design program offers a very strong professional base degree. After this, most students get hired by prestigious Design firms while many choose to start their own practice.

Since B.Design is a 4-year professional degree, it is recognised as a valid degree for pursuing Masters in specialization in many renowned universities all across the globe, some graduates have also secured good job positions in various architectural and design firms.
Landscape Architecture deals with the design of a range of outdoor spaces from gardens to parks to river front development, as well as playing a crucial role while developing infrastructure on challenging terrain.
Landscape Architecture graduates can pursue Master’s in Landscape Architecture after this course. Though, many different allied disciplines or even specializations are available abroad in the fields of Urban Design, Conservation, Planning, etc., for the graduates.
