An eminent scholar with PhD qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline(s) in the institution concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance.
Professor/Associate Professor with a total service/ experience of fifteen years of teaching/research/administration in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of higher education.
A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) Based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS)as set out in UGC regulations.
Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process.

An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline to be substantiated by credentials
Roles and Responsibilities
- Leading School efforts toward achieving University goals
- Leading and coordinating the governance of the School, School’s strategic planning and curriculum development
- Supervising, evaluating, and supporting Programs / School in a manner that promotes excellence in instruction, scholarly and creative productivity. and service
- Providing recommendations to the Provost on policies and procedures related to the academic area and ensuring that all NUV policies are followed
- Introducing outreach programs from time to time keeping in view the regulatory environment
- Working closely and leading Nodal officer of the University for all regulatory aspects – be it Admission Committee for Professional Courses, Fee Regulatory Committee, Higher Education Council, Commisionerate of Technical Education or Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat etc.,
- Lead the Accreditation effort with KCG, NAAC, NIRF and NBA as applicable. This would involve putting in place IQAC, as well as processes and documentation to facilitate the accreditation process
- Provide advisory role to the Placement and Career Development Function for the School students
- Leading and overseeing the processes of faculty and staff selection and retention and supporting them in their professional development especially in productivity in instruction, research, and service responsibilities
- Providing recommendations to the Provost regarding training needs for faculty and staff
- Active participation to prepare the budget for the School
- Any other area that becomes imperative over the period of time.
Salary: As per UGC and the University norms.
