Millennials Groove To Indian Playback Singer Mohammed Irfan's Songs At Parvaaz Fest

The largest fun affair for GenZs in the year, Parvaaz 3.0 was organized by the department of Journalism and Mass Communication department, Navrachana University, Vadodara. The fest Parvaaz 3.0 provides optimum exposure and inspiration to its students to participate in various competitions and showcase their skills. Mohammed Irfan, an Indian playback singer, and Dr. Netra Shah, an actor and a digital creator, attended the event to promote their brand-new song, Tum Ho. Irfan has given his voice to many famous songs- Banjara (Ek Villain), Baarish (Yaariyan, Hai Yehi Zindagi (Kick) and many more. “It’s wonderful to see the young people full of life and excitement. It’s a delight to be at Navrachana University, and I was astonished to see such a large gathering of Navrachnites.,” said Mr Irfan.

 

Parvaaz is a flagship annual event, solely organized by the students with the goal of encouraging youngsters to demonstrate their creative abilities on stage. It has always brought together talents from many colleges together in the city. The various competitions related to the mass communication department are photography, modelling, entertainment, beatboxing, and other forms. Commenting on the event, Prof. Pratyush Shankar, Provost, Navrachana University said, “Parvaaz in a very short time has made a mark for itself as a student fest centered on the domain of communication, mass media and journalism. All the events and competitions have been creatively devised based on what they study and thus it adds a unique creative flavour to the event. This event clearly portrays the passion, energy and rigour that the future communicators must possess.”

 

The youngsters gave outstanding performances in dance, music, poetry, and stand-up comedy to make the evening even more unforgettable. The winners of modelling and fashion photography competitions were also recognized at the event and were given cash prizes up to Rs 15,000 and job offers from Jadubooti, a GenX clothing brand that was also the event’s sponsor. These activities provided an opportunity for young adults to connect with like-minded individuals.

 

In celebration of Parvaaz, the campus was beautifully decorated to set the mood for the big evening. To capture the public’s attention and help people make memories, the department also organized a photo booth. The highlights of the event also included the performance by Shoonya band. Radio City 91.1 FM’s RJ Dixi and RJ Atiq addressed the youngsters to inject more energy into the event.

 

The department engaged the students behind the scenes in an effort to encourage them to engage in entrepreneurial activities and develop the skills like managerial, promotion and marketing, understanding financial requirements, anchoring, necessary in the industry. “Organizing an event is a reflection of holistic growth

which comprises planning, creativity and execution. This is being clearly portrayed by the students of Journalism and Mass Communication department at Navrachana University by organizing Parvaaz 3.0, their annual flagship event which includes competitions and performances centric to the subject of media!”, said Dr. Sandeep Vasant, Registrar, Navrachana University.
