Startups from the NIF ecosystem gained national visibility through their participation in The Lions’ Den, a startup investment reality show that brings together emerging ventures and prominent investors. NIF supported multiple startups through mentorship, pitch preparation, and investor readiness training, enabling them to present their innovations on a national platform.
One of the notable successes from this initiative was Writeroo, founded by Shivank Kacker, which secured an investment of ₹70 lakh for 15 percent equity during the show. The campaign demonstrated NIF’s capability to prepare startups for high-stakes investor platforms and reinforced its commitment to helping founders navigate fundraising opportunities and scale their ventures.
Productica, an AI-powered market intelligence and product validation platform incubated at NIF, achieved global recognition by being ranked 58th among the Top 100 Global AI Companies. The ranking was compiled from a pool of over 2 million companies worldwide, placing Productica among a select group of internationally recognized AI ventures.
The platform uses real-time data analysis to help founders evaluate product–market fit, analyze competitive landscapes, and make data-backed business decisions. Productica’s achievement reflects the growing presence of deep-tech innovation within the NIF ecosystem and highlights the foundation’s commitment to supporting globally competitive AI startups.
NIF-incubated startups PaperTalks, Breva Biotech, and Shkula Energy Solutions emerged as winners at the TiECon Vadodara 2025 Pitchathon, one of the region’s most prominent startup platforms organized by TiE Vadodara. The startups were recognized for their innovative solutions addressing real-world challenges across education technology, healthcare biotechnology, and sustainable energy.
Their success at TiECon highlights the quality of ventures emerging from the NIF ecosystem and demonstrates the effectiveness of the incubation support, mentorship, and ecosystem exposure provided by the foundation.
Mr. Devanshu Pathak, Ph.D. Scholar at Navrachana University, has been awarded the DST–AtmaNirbhar Gujarat Fellowship (AGF) under Category B for his research on a cotton-based hybrid hemostatic wound-healing agent aimed at improving rapid blood clotting and wound recovery in medical emergencies. The research is guided by Dr. Sumit Bhawal and Dr. Nicky Joshi, with commercialization mentorship provided by Navrachana Innovation Foundation (NIF).
Prior to receiving this national recognition, the project had received ₹2.5 lakh early-stage support through the Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP) facilitated by NIF. Under the AGF program, Mr. Pathak will receive a monthly fellowship of ₹25,000 along with a ₹4 lakh innovation grant to further develop and commercialize the technology. This milestone highlights NIF’s role in supporting research-driven innovation and enabling academic ideas to transition into viable healthcare solutions.
Shivank Kacker, a third-year BCA student, showcased his startup, Writeroo, at Innovest, an event hosted by Nirma University, Ahmedabad, on March 20th. Writeroo is a social networking platform tailored for readers and writers and is accessible at www.writeroo.net. Shivank was among the 10 participants shortlisted from an online screening round to pitch at the event. He presented to a panel of esteemed Venture Capitalists: Mr. Rajan Patel, Mr. Ravin Sanghavi, Mr. Dharmesh Pandit, and Ms. Shrruti Jobanputra. His pitch, highlighting the startup’s multiple features and an AI copilot, was a hit, leading to investors expressing their willingness to invest at a valuation of 10 crores for a 3% equity stake, underscoring the event’s success.

This innovative idea even won an award in the “Idea Category “at TiEcon Vadodara has the potential to disrupt the personalized figurine market.
Octa files, an award-winning concept under “proof of concept” category at TiEcon Vadodara, aims to create India’s first digital freelancing platform for legal services. It connects lawyers and clients through an AI-powered platform. Lawyers can create profiles, find clients and collaborate securely using the platform’s tools. In short, Octa files makes legal services faster, easier and more accessible for everyone.
Our woman innovator, Pooja Shah, founder of Whizz Q, has secured funding through the MSME Innovative Scheme! This Vadodara-based startup is revolutionizing customer queue management and soaring with a 15lakh boost approval, backed by Navrachana Innovation Foundation. Embracing innovation since 2020, Whizz Q is recognized by Startup India and boasts proud partnerships with ‘Reserve with Google’ and is a verified tech provider for Facebook (Meta).
Navrachana Innovation Foundation offers a dedicated co-working space designed to support founders, innovators, and early-stage startups in building and scaling their ideas. Located within Navrachana University, the space provides a collaborative environment where entrepreneurs can work alongside fellow founders, interact with mentors, and engage with the larger startup ecosystem.
